The following terms and conditions apply to all orders placed with Printersaurus Rex. By placing an order with us, you agree to all terms and conditions.
Payment
A 50% Deposit is required on all orders. Balance is due upon order completion.
There is a base cancellation fee of $50 if you wish to cancel the order after you finalize your order by providing us with payment in full or in part. The cancellation fee may vary based on our effort to fulfill your order prior to the time of cancellation, as well as any costs incurred by us for the cancellation, which may include, but are not limited to, restocking fees, costs of materials, inbound and outbound shipping for materials. If printing has already begun, customer will be accountable for all printing and material costs already incurred.
If any payments are left outstanding after 72 hours of an order being received by the client that order will be subject to a weekly interest charge of 10% of the total invoice amount per week until payment is received. If we have to resort to legal means to collect amounts due under this agreement, you will pay all of our costs of collection, including reasonable attorneys' fees.
Turnaround times and order fulfillment
An order will NOT be considered ready to print until Printersaurus Rex has received all artwork, materials, payment, and approvals.
Standard non-rush turnaround is within 10 business days from receipt of all artwork, materials, and payment.
Our rush schedule is as follows: Same day (not available currently): 200% up-charge 1 day: 100% 2 to 3 days: 75% 4 to 6 days: 50% 7 to 10 days: 25%
If you do not advise us about a due date until after your order has been placed and paid for, we may not be able to accommodate your request. Larger quantity orders and specialty garments or processes may not be eligible for a rush turnaround, please contact us for more details.
If you are paying via check, the rush/standard turnaround on your order will not begin until your check clears our bank account.
Any circumstances out of our control (ie: weather delays, shipping errors by the supplier, etc.) may also require more time and are not factored into the initial turn around time estimate.
If you do not pick up your items within 90 days after they are completed, we will dispose of your items at our discretion.
Shipping
Customer will be responsible for all outbound shipping charges associated with a finished order, except in cases of time-related errors on the part of Printersaurus Rex.
Invoice and artwork approval
All invoices and artwork forms must be approved by the clients by initialization or payment in the form of a deposit to Printersaurus Rex before printing will proceed.
Artwork and materials must be checked for spelling, color, sizes ordered, placement of the art and accuracy of artwork by the customer. Printersaurus Rex will not accept responsibility for corrections not implemented and/or requested after artwork approval. Any modifications requested after customer approval will result in production delays and additional expenses for which the client will be invoiced accordingly. Any delays in the approval process longer than 24 hours after receipt of the mockup can/will result in production delays.
Printersaurus Rex is not responsible for any misspellings, errors, or issues in your art file. Unfortunately, if it is in your art file and on your approval, that is how it will be printed.
Artwork and sizing
Please note that the graphic will print the exact same size, no matter the size of the item we are printing on. If you would like to have different artwork sizes made for different item sizes, please let us know ahead of time.
In such cases, each set of screens will be considered a different order, with pricing and minimums charged accordingly.
All files should be 300 DPI or vector format. Artwork has to be sized "ready to print" ( the size at which it will print) AND also to fit the smallest garment in the order.
Text must be converted to outlines. Printersaurus Rex will not be responsible for poor quality printing due to poor artwork. An art adjustment fee of $30 per hour (min. 1 hour) may apply to lower-quality artwork that needs to be made ready for print.
Printersaurus Rex makes no claims on client artwork, though all screens and films associated with production of screened images are property of Printersaurus Rex.
Permissible artwork
It is never our intention to print copyrighted designs or artwork without permission from the copyright holders.
You represent and warrant that you have the right to use all designs (including text and photographs) that you provide to us to print. You agree to indemnify us and hold us harmless for, from and against all claims of third parties related to claims related to the Designs and our placement of the Designs on merchandise, including but not limited to claims of infringement, defamation or slander.
We accept pre-separated artwork, but can not be responsible for the quality of the print in such cases.
Color matching
We use physical Pantone books for color matching: SOLID COATED for plastisol inks, and SOLID UNCOATED for water-based inks. Unfortunately colors vary between computer monitors and cannot be precisely matched.
In cases of matching from computer files, please note that computer monitors are calibrated differently, and colors may vary from what appears on your screen to what appears on our screen. For best results, please match to the actual Pantone books referenced above.
We do not charge for color matching, but please note that there may be very slight variations in color on the final product. Due to the nature of how manufacturers dye garments and the way waterbased inks dry, DISCHARGE & WATERBASED COLOR MATCHES (INCLUDING COLORS FOR PAPER PRINTING) CAN NOT BE GUARANTEED.
Color Changes
We can fully accommodate multiple color ways of the same design. Ink color changes are $10.00 per change.
Manufacture Defects
We cannot be held responsible for material inconsistencies related to size, shade, construction, or other manufacturer's defects such as loose stitching or stains accumulated during transportation/construction. If an exact count is required we suggest ordering extra pieces to accommodate defects within tolerance of the spoilage rate.
Spoilage and Misprints
Standard spoilage rate or tolerance of 5-10% depending on the complexity of your order. Spoilage meaning misprints and/or damage to items caused by Printersaurus Rex. Clients MUST anticipate that there is the possibility of part of the order being misprinted and should adjust orders accordingly. Any spoilage within our rate will be credited but it is the clients responsibility to replace the missing garments. Any misprints over the stated rate will be reprinted at no extra charge (except for customer supplied merchandise). Items considered misprints or damaged must be agreed upon by both Printersaurus Rex and client to be considered for a reprint.
If clients give us items to print (“Customer-Supplied Merchandise”), we will in good faith use our expertise, knowledge, and abilities to print the items without damaging them. However, you agree that we are not responsible for damage to Customer-Supplied Merchandise, and you agree to hold us harmless for any such damage, including misprints or mistakes.
We will only credit accounts back for the cost of damaged merchandise if we provide the merchandise, misprints on customer-supplied items will be credited for the cost of the printing only.
We are open to discussing charge-backs, but proven documentation of manufacturing cost must be provided for consideration of acceptance on our part for the charge-back.
We allow an industry standard 72 hour window from the time you receive the goods to notify us of any issues with the order. Printersaurus Rex will not be responsible for errors with your order if notified after 72 hours of receiving the goods.
Sampling
Sample items are considered like any other print, and will be priced accordingly for any variations requested.
Specific Measurements When Printing and Mock-ups
We work best with a mock-up that is relatively close in terms of size and positioning on a garment. If you can not provide one, we can create one at a one-time cost of $5 per design. If no mock-up is provided or asked for, we will use our best judgement and experience for placement and sizing, and are not responsible for any discrepencies related to the original placement desired by the client, unless otherwise directed to print, i.e. a stated desire that the print be "2 inches from the top of the collar", etc. Standard spoilage rate will apply to all approved placements of artwork.
For garments, a 1" tolerance in any direction is allowed based on any approved placement on item, any prints within this tolearnce will not be considered a misprint and Printersaurus Rex will not reprint or refund these garments.
For poster printing, we will, to the best of our knowledge, forewarn you of any areas in the design which may cause trouble, and if there need to be changes made. Due to the nature of the process, there can be as much as a 16th of inch movement between colors upon final printing, and problems areas (thin lines, areas where colors butt up against each other, etc) may shift and are considered part of our tolerance, please be aware of this upon approving production.
Zipper & Seam Prints
Printing over zippers, seams , and any area considered "raised" will not produce a 'perfect' print. Returns and reprints will not be issued for these services.
Press Checks
We are happy to supply a photo of the first item after it is printed for your reference, please let us know ahead of time if you would like one, and we will do our best to supply you with when the item will be printed. If this photo is being used for approval of the printing, any delay longer than a half-hour caused by waiting for approval will be charged at a rate of $50 per day. Changes resulting from a press check, either in the form of a photo or in person, will only be permissable within the quoted and invoiced print stipulations, any further changes may be subject to additional charges. In-person press checks are available, subject to our convenience, at a rate of $20 per design, an additional charge for ink changing may occur if major or multiple adjustments to color are made. Due to the nature of the process, press checks are not available for poster printing, but color checks are at no additional cost.
